Video camera courses

Admissions for video camera courses in 2022 at Prague Film Institute are now open. The programs are hands-on, full-time, suitable for beginners and taught in English in small groups (up to 15 students) on our campus in Prague, the Czech Republic. At Prague Film Institute you will shoot a different film every week and make your own high production value film at the end of the course. You will meet industry professionals who can be game-changing contacts for your future career as a film cinematographer. Moreover, our year-long programs end with British qualification BTEC Level 5 HND and include internships on film sets.

Our programs will teach you all the basics of working with film video cameras and include the shooting different short film every week as well as a high production value film at the end of the course. You will also be required to learn the basics of filmmaking to make you understand the entire process from pre-production to post-production, which is crucial for kick starting your career in the film industry. The emphasis on video camera specialisation is given mostly during practical classes.

Video camera lessons are taught in a fully equipped industry professional rental house located on school premises. The equipment includes also the most popular cinema cameras as RED Monstro, ALEXA Amira or SONY F55, various lenses, grips, lighting equipment and many more. Moreover, for the shooting of your final film you will be provided with filmmaking equipment at the value of more than 90 000 USD.
