The second year of the Acting for Film course is designed to take your skills to the next level, expanding your craft through advanced training and professional development. Throughout the year, you will delve deeper into complex character work, engage in longer-form film projects, and expand your professional network. With a focus on industry-specific skills, you will be prepared to take on the challenges of working as a professional actor in both film and television. Guided by our experienced tutors, who are practicing artists in the film industry, you will receive expert instruction from professionals who understand the industry. Each student will be given the opportunity to produce, direct, and act in their own short film as part of their final project and collaborate with the students from the filmmaking department.

The program is designed to involve you in industry connections, facilitating access to casting agents, directors, and producers. Through events, workshops, and collaborations, you will build relationships with established professionals and rising filmmakers, positioning yourself well for the future.
As part of our second-year training, you will advance your proficiency in handling firearms, swords, and daggers, while also learning choreography for complex fight scenes. You will further refine your techniques with martial arts training to ensure your action sequences are both safe and convincing.
You will continue to enhance your professional showreel, this time focusing on showcasing a wider range of characters and genres. The scenes you work on will be carefully selected to highlight your growth as an actor and demonstrate your versatility to industry professionals.
In the second year, you will delve deeper into specialized skills essential for film acting, including advanced green screen techniques, and improvisation for both comedic and dramatic scenes. Additionally, you will expand your repertoire with training in dance and music to further round out your performance abilities.
You will receive practical training on navigating the competitive film industry, from perfecting your audition technique and self-promotion to understanding contracts and building your personal brand. You will emerge not only as a skilled actor but as a professional, fully prepared to secure roles in a competitive market.
