In our advanced courses at Prague Film Institute, you will have hands-on experience with professional filmmaking equipment, including cameras like Arri Alexa LF, Arri Alexa Mini, Sony VENICE 6K, RED V-RAPTOR 8K, and premium lenses like Arri Ultraprime, Arri Masterprime, and Cooke. Our school premises are equipped with a vast range of industry-standard equipment that is readily available for your use, free of charge for your final films. Unlike other schools, the equipment fee is already included in our tuition fee, ensuring you have access to top-quality tools without additional costs.
See the list of available equipment for your projects below.
Filmmaking technology is constantly being improved and old technologies replaced. This is why we teach our students with current, professional cameras and technology.
Even the best cameras cannot create a perfect image without high-quality lenses. Our students learn how to make motivated choices about which focal length is best for their film’s desired image and mood.
Whether our students are shooting indoors, outdoors, in a studio, or in their home, we have lights for every location.
The quickest way to differentiate an amateur film from a professional film is by the quality of the sound recording. Using professional-quality microphones and audio mixers elevates our students’ films to the next level.
In addition to the equipment we have available for students to use on location for their films, we also have a fully equipped professional green screen and lighting studio on our premises, available for students to use.
Special production facilities can be rented at a discounted student price from our cooperating partner, Three Brothers Production. You can learn more about these special facilities here.
One of the biggest logistical hurdles for student filmmakers is transportation. We support our students’ projects by offering them a van free of charge, upon availability, so they can transport their film equipment and crews to their shooting locations.
Additionally, we offer trailers for a discounted rental price through our cooperating partner, Three Brothers Production. See more about Three Brothers here.
Every student is given a license to AVID Media Composer, so they can use this software on their personal computers during their course. We also have computers in our cinema room with filmmaking software available for students to use.

We have an ever-growing library of reference materials for our students to borrow and read in their free time. Our library contains books which offer information and inspiration for every aspect of filmmaking, from Scriptwriting to Editing; Cinematography to Acting. We believe that filmmaking is not only practical, but also theoretical and rooted in a rich cultural history.
For specialized filmmaking equipment, our students are offered a discounted rental price through our collaborating partners.
